DOT Qualification

Driver Hiring Considerations

1. Must be 23 years of age.

2. Must have a valid CDL license.

3. Must have 2 years driving experience within their classification and at least 1 year continuous driving experience within the last 3 years.

4. Must have current DOT physical.

5. Must have social security card and/or authorization to work in US.

6. Must pass a drug and driving test.

7. Verify 10 years of work history.

8. Verify 3 years of previous drug testing and safety performance

9. Ability to read and speak English as required for the job.

10. Must be physically fit for work.

11. The following are Trillium driving standards:

  • No Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) violations in past seven years.
  • No license suspension last 5 years (unless for non-moving violation).
  • No more than 3 moving violations in the past three years.
  • No more than 2 minor preventable accidents (less than $5000 damage) within the last 3 years.
  • No major preventable accidents within the last year (a major preventable is defined as an accident of more than $5,000 damage or an accident as a result of a u-turn, lane change, rear end collision or any accident that resulted in a rollover or personal injury).
  • No excessive speeding or reckless driving (more than 15 miles over the speed limit) in past three years.

12. Felony convictions will be reviewed to insure compliance with Trillium and/or customer?s policy.
